Bonus Zone – HughesNet Gen5
The Bonus Zone is a period of time from 2am-8am in which you have access to an additional 50 GB plan data at no extra cost. All our HughesNet Gen5 packages come with the bonus zone. Our system automatically uses your Bonus Zone plan data while surfing or streaming during that period of time and it won’t count toward your service plan data.
Check how much data you have with HughesNet App, it can be downloaded to your smartphone. So you will have control over your usage.
We recommend scheduling your computer updates, music, and movies download during the Bonus Zone timeframe. Take advantage of this!
How to schedule windows updates on Windows 10?
To maximize your plan data, you can delay automatic windows updates.
- Type “Windows Update Settings” in the search bar, next to your windows icon.
2. Click on “Change Active Hours”
3. Select the time for Updates, remember The Bonus Zone period of time is (2am-8am).
(Note: If you have another windows version, look for your Windows Updates under the control panel)

Though you will be able to watch your downloaded TV shows and movies without an internet connection, you will need an internet connection to download content with the Netflix app.
