Express Repair is part of the optional services HughesNet offers to its customers with satellite Internet service to ensure the service will be restored in case that a problem occurs. 

You will receive Technical Phone assistance 24/7, if the problem cannot be fixed over the phone, you will receive a certified satellite technician visit to restore your service. You get a reduced service fee for being enrolled in the Express Repair plan. 

What does the Express Repair plan cover?

It covers any:

  • Diagnostic to determine what the issue is
  • Outages due to equipment issues, cable failures, power surges or antenna alignment. 

 

Express Repair Basic

1 Yr term – $7.95 monthly

Technician confirm a scheduled ETA and arrive by the second business day

Co-pay $29.95 if service visit is required.

Express Repair Premium

1 Yr term – $11.95 monthly

Technician confirm a scheduled ETA and arrive on the next business day

Co-pay $29.95 if service visit is required.

HughesNet Express Repair gets you back online fast! it includes live technical phone and onsite support like repointing of the antenna system or replacement of HughesNet indoor equipment, power supply, or outdoor equipment that were purchased by the customer, are commissioned on the HughesNet account and were professionally installed at your site. 

  • Loss of service due to issues with HughesNet equipment or cabling. 
  • Repoint antenna or alteration using existing mounting configuration.
  • Pre-existed service issues on the covered service plan.
  • The cost of all parts required to restore service. 
  • Loss of service due to power surge while connected to wired AC power with protective ground and telephone/coax line. 

What is not covered?

  • Loss of service resulting from damaged or missing Hughes equipment like cabling, antenna or mount. 
  • Relocating antenna.
  • Change mounting or type of antenna.
  • Damage to the antenna caused by natural disasters or vandalism. 
  • Faulty installation by a non-authorized Hughes Technician.
  • Cosmetic items of the product. 
  • Preventive maintenance, and more.

What is the vesting period?

Both Express Repair plans include a 30-day vesting period for existing HughesNet subscribers. Onsite service within the first 30 days of enrolling in a plan results in a higher co-pay than after the vesting period.

During the vesting period: $99 co-pay

If an onsite visit is required within the 30-day vesting period and you choose to start a new 24-month service commitment, the co-pay fee will be $99.

During the vesting period: $199 co-pay

If an onsite visit is required within the 30-day vesting period and you choose not to start a new 24-month service commitment, the co-pay fee will be $199.

After the vesting period: $29.95 co-pay

If you require onsite service after the 30-day vesting period, the onsite service co-pay will be $29.95.
