Google Assistant

Dish announced its new integration with the Google Assistant for the best hands-free TVTM entertainment experience. Actions like navigate, play, pause, fast-forward, rewind, and search content based on channel, titles, and actors are also available. This new integration will work with Hopper, Hopper DUO, Joey or Wally.

Dish has been working to provide the best experience for its customers. First, Dish launched a remote (Voice remote 54.0) that helps you control your Hopper with voice commands, Dish also became the first third-party TV service provider that integrated Amazon Alexa voice control, and now it's also the first one to integrate the Google Assistant.

DVRs will be able to pair with Google devices like Google Home and Android devices to be controlled by voice commands. The voice control technology has got good results and it seems everybody loves the hands-free experience.  DISH is totally changing the way users interact with their televisions, making it easier and fun.

Google Assistant commands

Users can ask the Google Assistant to set recordings, adjust volume, launch apps, navigate, play, pause, fast-forward, rewind, and search content based on titles, actor, channel, etc.
